Common Spaces

Our cohousing space is a retrofit, meaning we purchased the land with established buildings. We moved in and converted the building and land into a cohousing community. The common spaces are the land and structures that we share, maintain, and own together.

Courtyard & Playground

Outdoor space to gather and play.

Traditionally, cohousing structures are built around a shared outdoor area with no parking or roads interrupting the space for connection. When we found this property, we were thrilled there was a courtyard and playground amidst the residential homes and the shared common house.

Common House
& Outdoor Deck

Multiuse & multipurpose

Our 1600 square foot common house has a full kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining areas, two guest rooms that are available for residents to reserve, a large sunny deck, and a children’s playroom.

We have committee & community meetings inside, cook in the kitchen, host indoor parties, and offer guestrooms for out of town guests of members.. Kids play with the toys, costumes, and read books in the kids playroom.

Our Common House was built in the 1930s. There are charming features and also areas that we continue to update over time.

Community Garden
& Orchard

Hyperlocal food & friendship

For community members with a green thumb, this is the place to gather and grow fruits, veggies, and friendship. Our beloved little orchard produces pomegranates, persimmons, figs, pluots, apples, guavas, lemons, and more. The produce is harvested and incorporated into community meals for all.

Seasonal Creek

Flora & fauna neighbors

Our playground and many of our private townhomes abut a seasonal creek with hawks, owls, bunnies, deer, coyote, oaks, redwoods, cypresses, willows, blackberries, and more.
