Participation

Our community is designed, owned, and managed by the residents. Members participate in meal preparation once a month, serve on a committee and an affinity group, attend monthly community meetings, as well as contribute to quarterly community-wide work parties.

When we can, we do the maintenance and care of the property ourselves.

Community Meetings

We have community meetings once a month. Every other month we have meetings to decide the business of the community. The alternate months we meet to deepen our relationships and have fun.

Cooking & Community Meals

We enjoy community meals together twice a week. Each adult cooks for the community with another adult once a month.

Committees & Affinity Groups

Each adult household member sits on both a committee and an affinity group. Each require an average of an hour's work per week. Committees include Maintenance, Finance, and Community Care. Affinity Groups focus on day to day maintenance of our shared spaces.

Work Parties

Quarterly work parties are our opportunity to care for our shared spaces- the common house, the community garden, and our courtyard & playground. People choose the tasks and projects that work for them and their bodies.
